In Response To: What is melitonin? (Curious)
Melatonin is much more than a sleep aid. In fact, sleep is just a side effect. It is a hormone naturally produced in the body by the pineal gland and regulates the immune system. As we age the pineal gland shrinks and produces less melatonin which is why we get more diseases as we age. Starting at age 45 everyone should take melatonin as a supplement.
