I believed the bull about becoming an addict. for 8 years I had to fight to keep from blowing my brains out due to the pain. slowly I allowed my doctor to prescribe medication in 1999 I went on methadone and muscle relaxers it takes 60mg of methadone to take the edge off my pain. and if I ever went off yes I would have to be weened. but I would die before going back to that nightmare before medication.

On the med my body use I have never had euphoria or drowsyness ,drunkedness or any other problems with the medication. It just allows me to have some interaction with my family and friends and stay alive your out look is the old fashion way and it is harmful to true sever chronic pain suferers. If you are on pain meds follow your doctors directions, don't adjust the medication your self, don't drink alcohol, don't take pain meds from any other doctor than your pain management doctor and don't take illegal drugs. and don't expect to be pain free ,you will still have to use all your other pain fighting skills to keep living but it is alot better than suffering with out. I've lived with chronic pain most of my life from fibromyalgia but a back injury in 1988 showed me what true pain is.
