Back in 1938 people would put silver dollars in milk to help in maintaining freshness. Scientists discovered that people who put silver dollars in milk were healthier. After extensive testing it was discovered that the minute particles of silver that got into the milk was causing people to ward off infections and prevented people from getting the common cold.
