Not to be confused with the doldrums which is a slight depressive disorder caused by gloomy weather the Dulldrums is a hearing disorder. The Dulldrums is a disorder whereby a person hears certain sounds in a monotone. It occurs when listening to family, in-laws, lawyers, accountants and politicians to name a few (use your imagination). Severe flareups can occur when watching the news or Oprah. The only cure is to move to a mountain cabin with no TV or radio and to stop voting!
